I am Kaitlyn: a two-spirited photographer located in Saint Paul, Minnesota and proud descendent of the White Earth Band of Ojibwe.
When I am not tending to my extensive plant life or high-energy Golden Retriever (Finland), I am out capturing the Creator's gifts-- land, water, light, and the relationships that bind us.
With a gentle, documentary approach, Ziibi captures quiet details and powerful stories so families and communities can remember the moments that matter.
I specialize in portraits and candid photography.
Having always desired a way to encapsulate the beauty we are all fortunate enough to experience, I created Ziibi Photography to do just that. (And as someone living with a TBI, remembering those magical moments can be challenging.) The work I have created successfully aids in immortalizing a plethora of moments I would not want to forget.
I pride myself on being welcoming to all and emphasize the importance of capturing the moment as envisioned. For that to be successful, open communication is essential. Similar to my gender, my photography style is fluid; I lean towards a candid storytelling approach and personal portraits. If that does not sound like what you're looking for (and/or may not work for your project), I would love to schedule some time for us to collaborate and discuss your vision. (P.S. Creating and sharing a vision board with me is always a great start!)
